Popular Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, and her bodyguard are facing legal trouble after being summoned to appear before the Chief Magistrate’s Court, Wuse Zone 6, Abuja. The actress and her aide are accused of assault, trespass, and threats against the Chief Executive Officer of Skyewise Group Limited, Elvis Abuyere, an Abuja-based car dealership company.

The summons, issued on August 6, 2024, orders Dikeh and her bodyguard to appear in court on August 24 to answer the charges leveled against them. The case, with file number CR/359/2024, was filed by Abuyere, who alleges that the actress and her entourage forcefully entered his company premises in Maitama, Abuja, and assaulted him and his staff.

According to the complainant, the incident occurred after he provided car services to Dikeh. The actress had reportedly purchased a brand new Changan Uni-K 2023 model from Mikano Motors through Skyewise Group Limited. However, after the car was serviced, Dikeh was said to owe an outstanding balance of N2.7 million.

It is alleged that Dikeh, accompanied by her bodyguard and two other unidentified women, stormed the car dealership premises to confront Abuyere over the outstanding payment. During the confrontation, the actress is accused of assaulting Abuyere and some of his staff members, causing damage to property and disrupting business operations.

Abuyere further claimed that Dikeh and her group threatened to use social media to harm his business reputation if he persisted in demanding the outstanding payment. The car dealer subsequently reported the incident to the police, leading to the issuance of the court summons.

The incident has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many expressing shock and disbelief over the allegations against the actress. Tonto Dikeh, known for her outspoken personality and controversial lifestyle, has often been in the public eye for various reasons.
