“Oyo State To Celebrate Flag-Off Of Ibadan Circular Road With Governor Soludo” The Hype Naija

Ibadan, Oyo State – In a significant step towards enhancing road infrastructure in Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde is set to welcome his Anambra State counterpart, Prof. Charles Soludo, for the official flag-off ceremony of the Ibadan Circular Road project’s road infrastructure component on Friday. This marks a milestone in the state’s infrastructure development efforts, focusing on the 32.2-kilometer section of the ambitious 110-kilometer project named in honor of former Governor Rashidi Ladoja.

The completion of the South-East Wing, which includes six bridges and two interchanges, signifies the culmination of the first phase of this pivotal project. Initiated by Governor Makinde, the project aims to bring to fruition a vision that previous administrations had contemplated but not executed.

The ceremony will not only celebrate the progress of the Ibadan Circular Road but will also feature the commissioning of three Junction Improvement Works located in the Idi-Ape-Civic Centre-Agodi Gate axis. These improvements are designed to facilitate smoother traffic flow within the city, underscoring the Makinde administration’s dedication to infrastructure development that strategically benefits the state’s economy.

The collaboration between Oyo and Anambra states in this endeavor highlights the importance of inter-state cooperation in achieving mutual development goals. The Ibadan Circular Road project stands as a testament to the commitment of the Oyo State Government to enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and improve the overall quality of life for its citizens through strategic infrastructure investment.
