Lagos, Nigeria – The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has launched a three-day Town Hall meeting starting today, March 21st, and continuing through March 23rd, 2024, in Lagos State. This initiative aims to directly address and resolve electricity-related complaints from customers of the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDP).

Customers experiencing issues or having concerns related to their electricity service are encouraged to participate in the Customer Complaints Resolution sessions. These sessions are scheduled to commence at 10:00 am daily at The Patron, located on KM 20 Lekki-Epe Expressway, Sangotedo, Lagos State. Attendees are advised to bring along all relevant documents to facilitate the resolution of their grievances.

This proactive step by NERC underscores the commission’s commitment to ensuring consumer protection and satisfaction within the electricity sector. By providing a platform for direct interaction between EKEDP and its customers, NERC aims to enhance the quality of service delivery and address any inefficiencies or issues affecting consumers.

The Town Hall meeting is part of NERC’s broader strategy to engage with electricity consumers across the country, emphasizing the importance of transparency, accountability, and responsiveness within the sector. Customers of EKEDP in Lagos State are thus presented with a unique opportunity to have their concerns heard and addressed by both the regulatory authority and their service provider.
