The announcement was made by Dr. Kola Balogun, the Baba-Kekere Olubadan and brother to the late monarch, through a statement released by the Personal Assistant (Media) to the late monarch, Oladele Ogunsola.
The Olubadan was a figure of monumental achievements and was distinguished as the most educated monarch to have ever ascended the throne in Ibadan. His educational background was notable, with a Ph.D. from Britain, a former career as a university lecturer, and a former gubernatorial candidate.
