The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has received a significant boost in its scientific research capabilities with the inauguration of a brand new, N100 million chemical laboratory. This state-of-the-art facility, equipped with cutting-edge technology, marks a major step forward for the institution and is the result of a collaborative effort between the Federal Government and a leading Nigerian company.

The official commissioning ceremony, held on July 18th, 2024, was graced by the presence of Chief Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, represented by the Director-General of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP), Dr. Ikechukwu Enelamah.
