Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has confidently stated that President Bola Tinubu is destined to govern Nigeria for a total of eight years. This declaration was made during his appearance on Channels Television’s “Sunday Politics,” where Umahi, also the former governor of Ebonyi State, shared insights into what he believes is a divinely ordained leadership.
Umahi’s bold claim comes amidst discussions on the ambitious 700km Lagos-Calabar coastal expressway project, which he asserts will be completed within Tinubu’s tenure, significantly enhancing national connectivity. This project, among others, is seen as a testament to the administration’s commitment to national development.
As Tinubu navigates through his first year in office since his inauguration on May 29, 2023, Umahi emphasizes the spiritual backing behind Tinubu’s presidency. “When God starts a thing, He completes it. So, I strongly believe and am persuaded to let you know that God told me that this administration will last eight years because this administration is born of God,” Umahi confidently shared.
Umahi further praised the current administration’s efforts in restoring the country’s dignity and taking Nigeria back to its rightful owners—the Nigerian people. With God’s inspiration, Tinubu is poised to correct past wrongs and move the country forward.
In addition to the broader infrastructure projects, Umahi highlighted the near completion of the Third Mainland Bridge’s repair work, which is at 99 percent completion. The addition of solar lighting and CCTV installations aims to enhance the bridge’s functionality and security, addressing issues such as illegal sand mining that compromises the structure’s integrity.
As Umahi and the administration look forward to the fulfillment of these promises and projects, the minister’s assertion of Tinubu’s eight-year governance underlines a vision of continuity and progress for Nigeria, grounded in both divine assurance and practical governance initiatives.
