In a dramatic turn of events early this morning, the Lagos State Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS) apprehended a 19-year-old robbery suspect, Akinjobi Wahab, in a failed attempt to steal a motorcycle from undercover officers. The incident, occurring around 4am on Acme Road in Agidingbi, Ikeja, showcased the quick action and preparedness of the RRS operatives, who were on routine patrol in the area dressed in plain clothes.
Wahab, armed with a machete and accompanied by four other suspects who managed to flee the scene, targeted the officers not realizing their identity. This arrest is a direct result of enhanced security measures implemented by the RRS Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, aimed at curbing the early morning robbery incidents that have plagued Agidingbi, Ikeja.
