The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended two suspected drug dealers in possession of a substantial quantity of cocaine. The arrests were made in the Ojo area of Lagos State following a tip-off from concerned citizens.
The two suspects, identified as Sunday Nwabufor and Obinna Nweke, were apprehended on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, at around 2:00 PM. According to the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the duo was found with 120 pellets of a substance suspected to be cocaine.
The arrest was carried out by officers from the Ojo Division of the Lagos State Police Command. The operation was launched after receiving a tip-off about the suspected drug dealers’ activities. The police acted swiftly to apprehend the suspects and seize the illicit drugs.
Sunday Nwabufor, aged 47, is a resident of Festac, while Obinna Nweke, 45, is from Ketu Mile 12. Both men are now facing charges related to drug trafficking.
